Founder Duncan Weaver initially completed an engineering apprenticeship as a toolmaker, which instilled the need for high precision and accuracy. The product, however, did not fulfil his creative energies.

It was then that he joined a family-run cabinet making and antique restoration business. Here he received a grounding in classical furniture construction and a personal appreciation for form and proportion: the age-old rules that make furniture and architectural joinery look 'correct' and pleasing to the eye.

Duncan Weaver is now a master craftsman, and has run a personal and bespoke furniture and cabinet making business for 19 years. Experienced in using many hard and soft woods, Duncan creates custom designed and individual woodwork to satisfy any client’s requirements. English oak or European oak are the most popular, but we will work with any timber suitable for its intended use.

And rest assured knowing that we use timber from ecologically sustainable sources, and will advise on the best timber for the project.
